TeamForce is a tactical free-roam VR shooter developed in-house by Metaforce VR Arena for multiplayer arenas. Two squads start at opposite ends of the map and fight for control of it, running, taking cover and flanking for real instead of using a joystick. A game takes 4 to 20 players aged 7 and up, and it comes with 10 maps included in the Metaforce subscription.

How does a round of TeamForce work?
Players put on headsets in the arena and appear on the map with their squad. The two teams start at opposite ends and push toward the middle. The round goes to the team that takes control of the map first, so accuracy alone is not enough: players have to talk, cover each other and change position at the right moment.
Because this is a free-roam VR shooter, every step in the game is a real step on the arena floor. Teammates stand next to each other in the same physical space, which is exactly what makes team VR games feel different from playing at home. Movement in the game matches real movement, so motion sickness is less common than with joystick locomotion.
There is no blood, and the difficulty is medium. Newcomers get the hang of it quickly, while regulars keep learning the maps and building tactics.
What maps does TeamForce include?
TeamForce has 10 maps with different layouts, from tight city blocks where fights happen at close range to open areas where long-range fire decides the outcome. For an operator, the number matters: a group that comes back next month can play a map they have not seen yet.
Every map is rebuilt around the exact layout of your venue. Walls, cover and routes are placed so the virtual space fits your play area, rather than you having to rebuild the room to fit the game.
Why does TeamForce work for an arena business?
TeamForce is the game most groups start with, and it is built to keep a busy arena running smoothly.
- Flexible group size. One game takes 4 to 20 players. Depending on the size of your arena, 8 to 12 or more people play at once, while the rest of a large party waits in the lounge.
- Easy to split into teams. Kids against parents, one department against another, the birthday child's class against their friends. That flexibility sells birthday packages and corporate team building.
- Replay value. Ten maps and a competitive format bring the same groups back for a rematch.
- Fits your venue. Maps are adapted to your floor plan, so a 100 m² arena and a 250 m² arena both get a layout that uses the space well.
- Regular updates. New maps and games arrive every 6 months and are included in the subscription.
TeamForce works well as the anchor of a VR shooter arena, with StarForce, Elevators and Portals as the next step for returning players, and Mini Games for younger kids. See the full line-up on our VR arena games page.
What does a venue need to run TeamForce?
The same setup as every Metaforce game: a level floor, ceilings from 2.5 m and a play area of 50 to 300 m². Headsets, computers and tracking can be bought from any supplier. More on the space itself in our VR arena design guide.
Want to run TeamForce at your arena?
TeamForce is part of the Metaforce VR Arena subscription together with the other released games. There is no franchise fee and no royalties: you pay a flat subscription from $4,990 for six months, taxes included. Full pricing is on the franchise cost page.
