Mini Games is a collection of 3 short, non-violent VR games for kids and families, developed in-house by Metaforce VR Arena. Instead of shooting at each other, players run through bright worlds, catch runaway creatures with a net and compete in accuracy and speed. A game takes 4 to 20 players aged 6 and up, and it is included in the Metaforce subscription.

How does a session of Mini Games work?
The collection has 3 games, each set in its own world, from the dusty Wild West to a fairy-tale island, and each with its own rules. Rounds are short and the rules are clear right away, so a six-year-old and an adult can have the same amount of fun.
Players can play each for themselves or in teams, switch games during a session and run a mini tournament. Children and adults walk and run for real, with no joysticks. Movement in the game matches real movement, so motion sickness is less common than in stick-driven VR.
Who is Mini Games for?
Mini Games is the most child-friendly game in the Metaforce line-up. It is built for:
- The youngest guests. 6+ is the age from which Metaforce arenas admit players.
- Family visits. Parents and kids play together on equal terms.
- Children's birthday parties. Simple rules mean every guest joins in from the first minute.
- Mixed groups. Not everyone likes shooters, and Mini Games gives them something to play.
- First-time VR players. Many groups choose it as their introduction to virtual reality, or as a calmer break between shooters.
Why does Mini Games matter for an arena business?
A line-up made only of shooters limits who you can sell to. Mini Games opens the door to younger children and family birthday parties, one of the core formats an arena sells alongside hourly play, whole-arena rental, corporate events and gift certificates.
- A wider audience. Families with children aged 6 and up become customers, not just teenagers and adults.
- Same throughput. 4 to 20 players per game; depending on your arena, 8 to 12 or more people play at once while the rest of the party waits in the lounge.
- Easy for staff. Short rounds and simple rules mean less explaining before each game.
- Works with your venue. Like all Metaforce games, it is adapted to the layout of your arena.
- Updates every 6 months. New maps and games are included in the subscription.
For team VR games the whole family can play, Mini Games pairs well with TeamForce for older kids aged 7+. See how the full set works together on our VR arena games page.
What does a venue need to run Mini Games?
Nothing beyond the standard Metaforce setup: a play area of 50 to 300 m², a level floor and ceilings from 2.5 m. The same headsets, computers and tracking run all the games, and you can buy them from any supplier. Planning a venue with families in mind? Our VR arena design guide covers the space, including a lounge for parties.
