StarForce is a space-themed multiplayer VR arena game developed in-house by Metaforce VR Arena. Players fight across orbital stations and floating platforms and move between them through teleports, so the battle unfolds on several levels at once. A game takes 4 to 20 players aged 7 and up, with 4 maps included in the Metaforce subscription.

How does a round of StarForce work?
Two teams take positions on a map made of platforms and stations. Players walk and run on the real arena floor, and teleports carry them between zones of the map. While one side holds the central platform, the other can suddenly appear above or behind them.
The team that wins is the one that uses the space better: it knows where each teleport leads, covers the exit points and stops the opponents from coming round the back. The difficulty is medium, so people who are trying VR for the first time settle in quickly.
As in every free-roam VR shooter from Metaforce, movement in the game matches real movement. Players do not glide on a joystick, which is why motion sickness is less common than in stick-driven VR.
What maps does StarForce include?
StarForce has 4 maps, each with its own layout of platforms and teleports. Learning the routes is part of the fun, and that knowledge is what brings players back: the second visit feels different from the first because the group now plays with a plan.
Like all Metaforce games, the maps are adapted to the exact layout of your venue. The platforms, teleport points and routes are placed so they fit your play area.
Why does StarForce work for an arena business?
StarForce is one of the most visually striking games in the line-up. The bright space style and the feeling of zero gravity make it a natural next game for groups that have already played TeamForce.
- The same throughput as other shooters. 4 to 20 players per game; depending on your arena, 8 to 12 or more play at once.
- Works for mixed groups. Friends, families, school classes, birthday guests and colleagues at corporate events all play it, and the arcade space style suits younger players aged 7+.
- Variety inside one visit. Switching from TeamForce to StarForce changes the tactics completely, so a longer booking does not feel repetitive.
- Maps built for your venue. Every map is rebuilt around your floor plan.
- Updates every 6 months. New maps and games come with the subscription at no extra cost.

What does a venue need to run StarForce?
StarForce runs on the same setup as every other Metaforce game: a play area of 50 to 300 m², a level floor and ceilings from 2.5 m. You buy headsets, computers and tracking from any supplier you choose. Read more about the format in our free-roam VR guide.
Want to run StarForce at your arena?
StarForce is included in the Metaforce VR Arena subscription along with TeamForce, Elevators, Portals and Mini Games. There is no franchise fee and no revenue share; the subscription starts at $4,990 for six months, taxes included. See the franchise cost page for all terms.
FAQ
What makes StarForce different from TeamForce?
TeamForce is a ground-level fight for control of the map. StarForce takes place on space platforms linked by teleports, so the fight happens on several levels and opponents can appear from unexpected directions.
Is StarForce suitable for children?
Yes. The age rating is 7+, and the enemies and battles are styled as arcade space action.
How many players does StarForce support?
4 to 20 players per game. On one arena, 8 to 12 or more people usually play at once, depending on the venue size.
Do teleports mean players stand still?
No. Players walk and run on the arena for real; teleports only move them between zones of the map.
